Standard U-Form Studs
The original that changed the industry. U-Form studs are manufactured from 10821 Boron alloy steel bar, sheared to length then formed to shape. Welded on the flat/square side of the tag chain link to stay upright for superior traction. The U-Form stud is specially designed to provide increased traction as compared to studs welded on top of chain links, which lay over when in contact with the ground.
Rough Cut Studs
An economical alternative to our Standard U-Form studs, our Rough Cut studs are hydraulically sheared pieces of 10821 Boron alloy chain, heat treated to the same specifications as our Standard U-Form studs. Whereas we normally use a wire U-Form stud with finished ends, the Rough Cut studs are not smooth. Rough Cut studs are slightly shorter, and are irregular as they are produced from the result of cutting soft chain prior to heat treatment, and are not all alike.
